If coming north from the Petrolia General Store, follow the Mattole Road south out of town. Continue about a mile down the road, crossing the river, and then take a right on Lighthouse Rd. Follow Lighthouse Rd. for 3.7 miles, until you see a two-track on the right, with Volunteer Event signage.  If you drive over Bear Creek, which flows directly on top of Lighthouse Rd, you’ve gone about a quarter mile too far.

If coming from Honeydew to the south, head west on Mattole Rd. out of town. Follow Mattole Rd. for 13.6 miles, until turning left onto Lighthouse Rd, directly before a bridge which crosses over the Mattole River. Follow Lighthouse Rd. for 3.7 miles, until you see a two-track on the right, with Volunteer Event signage.  If you drive over Bear Creek, which flows directly on top of Lighthouse Rd, you’ve gone about a quarter mile too far.
