Nick's Interns
We are excited to announce our 2013 season of Nick’s Interns. This unique program provides work
opportunities for high school
students. We are looking for individuals who are motivated to learn, work hard,
be part of a team, and make a valuable contribution to our natural environment.
Interns work on a range of restoration projects such as, stream repair, invasive species removal, trail building, sediment and fuel hazard reduction, salmon habitat enhancement and more. With the cooperation of several environmental agencies, participants will learn about and experience a variety of restoration forestry practices.
ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY March 29, 2013
Interviews will be held the last week of April, early May
Session 1 (Whitethorn): June 24 to July 11
Session 2 (Whitethorn): July 15 to August 1
Mattole Restoration Council (Petrolia): 1st session June 17th - July 3rd
2nd session July 8th to 25th
All jobs are 3 week sessions, 4 days a week (32 hours)
Interns starting wage ~ $ 9.50/hr; returning ~ $10.50/hr
Interns may earn up to a $100 bonus for excellent work.
